What moves the price on your roof?
The roof surface, the material, the roof pitch, the tear-off labour and the waste disposal are what set the price. A steep roof and a roof we cannot get a truck close to both cost more to work on than a low, open one.
What does a shingle re-roof cost?
We charge $7.50 to $12 per square foot installed, with tear-off in that price. 3-tab shingles sit at the low end, and 30-to-40-year architectural or laminated shingles are the island standard. Anything a coastal roof needs on top of that gets its own line on the quote.

Metal is $14 to $25 or more per square foot installed. Screw-down agricultural panels are $14 to $16, and standing seam or interlocking metal shingles are $20 to $25 or more. It costs more up front than shingle, and it is strong against heavy rain, coastal air, falling tree debris and high wind.

What does it cost to get rid of the old roof?
Tear-off and disposal are in the price we quote you. The Campbell River Waste Management Centre charges $205 per tonne for construction and demolition waste without recyclable materials or prohibited waste, and $170 per tonne for garbage, with a $10 minimum charge for up to 100 kilograms. Loads containing more than 10% recyclables are charged a 150% surcharge, and improperly covered loads are subject to a $20 fine.
